What to do? Well, you have three options:

  • You could speed up your pc without software and fix it yourself manually.
  • You could find free software to speed up your PC
  • You can buy “speed up”–type PC software… usually this is something like a registry cleaner or spyware remover.

In this artile, I’ll explain the pros and cons of each option, along with resources so you at least have some choices to pick from. Then, it’s up to you to decide what you think is best for you.

Let’s get started!

“Speed-Up” PC option #1 – Do-it-yourself

If you’re familiar with the inner workings of your computer this is a great option. It won’t cost anything except your time (okay, and maybe a tiny bit of frustration). But all in all, this is a great option if you’ve got the time and the technical know-how.

The cons of this option are obvious. If you’re trying to speed up your PC and don’t know what you’re doing, you could end up making things worse than they already are!

For example, if you manually go inside the Windows registry and start deleting stuff that shouldn’t have been deleted… well, then your computer will probably crash next time it starts up.

Bottom line: This is a great no-cost option. If you’re going to do it, make sure you know darn well what you’re doing.

“Speed-Up” PC Software option #2 – Free Software

There are tons of options available to speed up your PC performance that are totally free.

This can be great. But here’s the thing…

A lot of the software that’s out there as shareware, isn’t that great when compared to the paid options.

Sure, they’ll work to an extent. But they may end up not even noticing certain things the paid versions would have.

For instance, a free registry cleaner might detect 60 potential entries that can be cleaned out. But a paid tool like Registry Easy could detect over 450!

The difference between the two can be staggering. What’s more, some of the free version can be too aggressive when deciding what and what not to delete.

If you really can’t spend the cash, then for sure, go with this option.

But if you can spare the cash, I highly recommend the next option, which is…

“Speed-Up” PC Softare option #3 – Paid Software

This is the best option. It gives you peace of mind knowing that your computer is going to be faster, without harming anything on it.

The best paid registry cleaner out there is Registry Easy

There are others that come close, but are not as good.

As I mentioned before, what makes the paid option great is that they catch all the potential (if not like 97% of them) errors in your registry that could be causing slow performance.

What’s more, they know what to delete and what not to… ensuring your system doesn’t crash and end up worse than before.

So there you have it. When it comes to making a decision on software to speed up your PC, I’d say just shell out the few bucks it costs (usually around $30 give or take). It’s well worth it and will save you hours of frustration.

To faster, zippier PC performance,
